25 Years of Training & Experience

Alexis and Taylor bring 25 years of combined interior design experience to your renovation or interior design project. Alexis spent years gaining an in-depth understanding of spatial configuration, technical drawing, the construction process, and functional considerations to become a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) with National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification. Taylor owned, operated, grew, and ultimately sold a softgoods workroom that created custom draperies, shades, and pillows for Atlanta designers. Both Alexis and Taylor are gifted with the ability to envision your future space and select furniture, paint colors, art, and finishes to create a home that reflects your personal style.

During our in-person home visit, we’ll walk through every room of your house to completely absorb the way you live. We’ll listen intently to your comments as we walk from room to room learning about you, your family, and your lifestyle. ASID, Principal

As the primary interior designer at Alexis Taylor Interiors, I direct and oversee all of the designs we produce. My goal is to create a space that reflects your unique needs, budget, and style.

After graduating from The University of Georgia with a degree in furnishings and interiors, I earned NCIDQ certification to become a professional member of ASID, certified in Georgia. My post-graduate interior design education spanned architecture, construction, furniture, art, color theory, technical drawing, spatial configuration, and structural engineering. I spent ten years honing my skills at two architecture firms before I began guiding clients on my own in 2008.

I’m married to Darrell, my college best friend, and mom to Claire and Henry. When I’m not designing or driving carpool, I love trying new restaurants and hiking with the dogs.

I am passionate about helping clients create spaces they love – and especially enjoy designing beautiful and functional window treatments, pillows, and bedding. In addition, I manage client work behind the scenes to ensure you receive the information, drawings, paint colors, and contractor referrals you need in a timely manner.

Following graduation from Vanderbilt University, I started a drapery workroom to provide custom window treatments and soft goods to Atlanta interior designers. After selling the workroom, I worked with the interior design firm VeenendaalCave (now NELSON Southeast). In 2018, I approached Alexis about joining forces to provide accessible interior design services. Originally known as A+T Interiors, Alexis Taylor Interiors was born!

I live in Roswell with my husband, Chris, and our three kids. I love fine wine, cooking, art, and Costco hotdogs.

When renovating our two bathrooms, Taylor and Alexis came up with a creative floor plan we had not even considered! They also helped create a beautiful overall design that worked for our growing family and complemented the existing aesthetic of our home. The process was simple and easy, and allowed us to move quickly on our project.
